Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of GalleonQL ("the app"), a desktop application provided by trimix ("we"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms.

1. Licence and where to get the app

  • Subject to these terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app.
  • Where you get the app depends on your operating system. The macOS build comes from the Mac App Store; the Windows and Linux builds come from our official download page. You may not redistribute, resell or lend the app.
  • For the macOS build obtained from the Mac App Store, Apple's Standard License Agreement (EULA) also applies, in addition to these terms.

How you buy Pro depends on your operating system too. On macOS, Pro is an Apple in-app purchase (an auto-renewable subscription). On Windows and Linux, Pro is a license key issued by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. Wherever that difference changes the terms, this page names the operating system. Anything written without an operating system applies to all three.

2. Plans and payment

The app offers a Free plan and a subscription-based Pro plan, billed monthly or yearly. Neither plan limits how many projects you can create. What each plan includes is listed on the official website. The price that counts is the one shown on the screen where you actually buy. There is no free trial; the Free plan serves that purpose.

macOS (Mac App Store build)

  • Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through the Mac App Store. You buy it inside the app, on Apple's purchase sheet, and no browser opens.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is switched off at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and your account is charged within the 24 hours before each renewal.
  • Prices appear in the currency of your own storefront, formatted by Apple.
  • There is no license key. Buying, restoring, cancelling and refunds all go through Apple (see sections 3 and 4).

Windows / Linux

  • Pro is charged in US dollars and processed by Lemon Squeezy (terms). The checkout page opens in your default browser.
  • A purchase issues a license key (see section 3).

Prices and plan structure may change in the future. Changes never apply retroactively to periods you have already paid for. Pro does not carry across operating systems: a subscription bought on macOS will not unlock the Windows or Linux build, and the reverse is equally true.

3. Turning Pro on, and moving to another machine

macOS (Mac App Store build)

There is no license key. Whether Pro is active is decided by the subscription Apple holds for your Apple Account, and the app asks Apple about it on every launch. To use Pro on another machine, sign in there with the same Apple Account and press Restore Purchases on the plan screen. Nothing has to be released on the old machine first.

Windows / Linux

  • A purchase issues a license key. Keeping the key safe is your responsibility. It may not be shared, transferred or resold.
  • On a machine where a key is registered, the app verifies the key online on each launch. While offline, Pro features remain available for up to 24 hours after the last successful check.
  • To move to another machine, deactivate the license on the old one first, then register it on the new one. "Deactivate license on this device" does not stop billing — to stop billing, use "Cancel subscription".

4. Cancellation and refunds

macOS (Mac App Store build)

  • Cancel in the App Store app, under your account name, in Subscriptions. The app's Manage Subscription button opens that screen for you, but GalleonQL has no cancel button of its own — only Apple can end the subscription.
  • Refunds are Apple's to give; we cannot issue one. Ask Apple through Report a Problem. Do not send us an order number — we never receive one.

Windows / Linux

  • You can cancel any time from the plan screen in the app.
  • Refunds are governed by Lemon Squeezy's policies and applicable law. To request one, contact us at with your order number.

On every platform, cancelling leaves Pro features available until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the remainder of a period cancelled part-way through is not refunded pro rata. When the period ends you return to the Free plan, and your saved data is never deleted or altered — anything created with Pro-only features stays viewable and stored.

5. Complimentary licenses

Windows and Linux only. Licenses we grant free of charge (gift keys and the like) provide Pro features until their stated expiry date, are non-transferable, and are not subject to cancellation or refunds. The macOS build has no screen for entering a key.

6. Your data and backups

  • Data you create in the app (projects, queries, environments and so on) is stored only on your own machine (see the Privacy Policy). Backups are your responsibility.
  • We cannot promise recovery if data is lost.

7. Prohibited conduct

  • Circumventing or tampering with feature gates or with subscription and license checks; on Windows and Linux, sharing or reselling license keys
  • Modifying or reverse engineering the app (except to the extent expressly permitted by law)
  • Flooding or abusing our servers, including the crash-report endpoint, or otherwise interfering with the service
  • Using the app for anything unlawful or contrary to public order

8. The endpoints you connect to

The app is a tool that sends requests to GraphQL endpoints you configure. Complying with those services' terms, rate limits and access rules is your responsibility. We are not liable for issues arising between you and those services.

9. System requirements

  • Supported operating systems are macOS, Windows and Linux. For macOS, the requirements are those stated on the Mac App Store. For Windows and Linux, the formats and requirements (Linux builds are x86_64 only and require webkit2gtk-4.1) follow what is stated on the official website and the download page.
  • Buying Pro and sending crash reports require an internet connection.
  • On macOS (Mac App Store build) the app asks Apple on every launch whether the subscription is active. If it cannot reach Apple it keeps the state from the previous launch and says so on screen.
  • On Windows and Linux the license check needs a connection; offline, Pro features last for up to 24 hours, as described in section 3.

10. Disclaimer

  • The app is provided as is. We do not warrant that it is free of defects.
  • To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the app.
  • Outages at Apple, at our payment provider or in server hosting may temporarily prevent purchases, or prevent a subscription or a license from being verified.

11. Changes to and discontinuation of the service

Content and specifications may change without notice. If we discontinue the service we will aim to announce it on the official website in advance. Because your data is stored locally, it is not lost when the service ends, apart from features that need a connection, such as confirming that Pro is active.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction of the first instance over any dispute relating to the app.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update this page and its date. We will announce significant changes on the official website.
