SkyStair

Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-10-05

These terms set out the conditions for using the iOS app SkyStair (“the app”) provided by trimix (“we”).

1. Licence

Use of the app is subject to Apple’s Standard EULA. These terms supplement it.

2. In-app purchase

  • The app offers “SkyStair Plus”. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription
  • Payment is handled by Apple; cancellations and refunds follow Apple’s terms. Request a refund at Apple’s site
  • What you unlock works inside the app only, and cannot be exchanged for money or for anything outside it
  • You can restore your purchase on a new device or after reinstalling

3. Health disclaimer

  • The app is not a medical device. It is not for diagnosis, treatment or prevention
  • The flights and heights shown are an approximation based on what your iPhone’s Health app recorded. We do not warrant their accuracy
  • Take care of your condition and your surroundings when climbing stairs. Do not push yourself for the sake of a number on this screen

4. Prohibited conduct

  • Modifying, decompiling, or tampering with the app’s internal data
  • Fabricating records you did not climb, including by writing false data into Health
  • Automated or bulk operation that interferes with the service
  • Anything unlawful or contrary to public order

5. Your records

  • Your arrivals and your total height are stored on your device and also in your own iCloud, so that your records survive a new phone or a reinstall, and so that an iPad signed in to the same Apple Account can show the figures your iPhone has measured
  • Deleting the app removes that data from the device; what is in iCloud stays, and your arrivals come back if you install the app again. To remove it as well, delete the app’s data in Settings → your Apple Account → iCloud
  • If data is lost for reasons beyond our control, we cannot promise to restore it

6. Disclaimer

  • The app is provided as is. We do not warrant that it is free of defects
  • To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss arising from use of the app
  • The content and specification may change without notice, and the app may be discontinued

7. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for any dispute relating to the app.

8. Changes to these terms

If we change them, we update this page and change the date shown above.
